Remo Stars' 2024/25 title was the first in the club's history. A season later, they were relegated as defending champions.

## Biggest clubs and derbies

Enyimba and Enugu Rangers are the most successful clubs in NPFL history. Each has nine league titles after Rangers won in 2025/26.

- **Enyimba** are nicknamed the "People's Elephant." They play their home games in Aba.
- **Enugu Rangers** are nicknamed the "Flying Antelopes." They play at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
- **Kano Pillars** are nicknamed "Sai Masu Gida." They are based in Kano.
- **Rivers United (Port Harcourt)** finished second in 2025/26, one point behind Rangers.

The biggest rivalry is the **Oriental derby** between Enyimba and Enugu Rangers. Both clubs come from the south-east. These games are often tense, with big crowds and high pressure.

## How to analyse an NPFL match

Good NPFL predictions start with a few general factors. None of them can tell you the result for certain.
