## Stellenbosch betting example: Stellenbosch vs Chippa United

Say you think Stellenbosch will not lose at home. You can use [double chance](https://oddsclass.com/learn/double_chance/) 1X (one bet that covers a home win or a draw).

| Market | Odds (example odds) | Return on R20 if it wins |
|---|---|---|
| Stellenbosch win (1) | 2.10 | R42.00 |
| Draw (X) | 3.00 | R60.00 |
| Chippa United win (2) | 3.60 | R72.00 |
| Stellenbosch or draw (1X) | 1.30 | R26.00 |

You stake (the money you bet) R20 on 1X at 1.30.

- If the match ends 2–1 to Stellenbosch, you get R20 × 1.30 = R26. Your profit is R6.
- If the match ends 0–0, you also get R26.
- If the match ends 1–2 to Chippa, you lose the R20.

## How to bet on Stellenbosch matches

To bet on Stellenbosch, look at travel, form and team news first. They are a mid-sized club, so prices are often close.

- **Home ground.** Danie Craven Stadium is a university ground in Stellenbosch. Read [how home advantage works](https://oddsclass.com/learn/home_advantage/).
- **Travel.** Most PSL clubs are far from the Western Cape. Long trips affect both Stellenbosch and their visitors.
- **Cup runs.** Cup and CAF games can mean rotation. Check the line-up.
- **Recent form.** Look at the last five or six games. See our [team form](https://oddsclass.com/learn/team_form/) guide.
- **Full match check.** Use our [how to analyse a match](https://oddsclass.com/learn/how_to_analyze_a_match/) guide.
