How We Write and Check Our Guides

Short answer

Every OddsClass guide follows the same steps. We answer one question, work through a real example, check every number twice, and cite official or reputable sources for tax and law. We update pages when rules change and fix mistakes openly.

Our five-step process

Each guide goes through five steps before it is published.

Step What happens
1. Question We pick one question bettors in our six countries really ask
2. Draft We write the answer first, then a worked example in local money
3. Number check Every calculation is checked again, separately from the writer
4. Fact check Tax, law and regulator facts are matched to their sources
5. Review The editor checks tone, clarity and the safety rules below

How we check numbers

Every payout, chance and margin on our pages is recalculated before publishing. We round to two decimal places and say when a figure is rounded.

Odds in examples are marked "(example odds)". Results are written as "if the match ends 2–1", because examples are illustrations, not real results.

How we check tax and law

Tax and law change often in our six countries. For these pages we follow stricter rules.

  • We use official sources first, such as regulators and tax authorities.
  • We add reputable tax firms and news outlets when official guidance is missing.
  • We list every source at the end of the page.
  • When sources disagree or a rule is not final, we say so plainly.
  • We review these pages after every national budget.

Our safety rules

These rules apply to every page, even when a partner would prefer otherwise.

  • No promise of profit and no "sure", "guaranteed" or "fixed" claims.
  • No method that claims to beat crash games, virtuals or jackpots.
  • No helpline numbers we have not checked.
  • A safer-betting note and a link to where to get help on every guide.
  • Content is for adults aged 18 and over only.

How we keep money away from advice

OddsClass earns affiliate commissions from licensed bookmakers. Our rule is simple: partner deals are handled apart from writing, and no partner can review or change a guide before it is published.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and change the "Reviewed" date on the page. For important errors, we add a short note at the top saying what changed.
